Google’s Pixel Tablet is no longer sold at major retailers
Google may have quietly withdrawn the Pixel Tablet, which it launched in 2023, from the market after approximately 3 years. The tablet’s page has been removed from the Google Store. The device is also unavailable as a new product from other major retailers. The company has not yet issued an official statement about ending sales.
The Pixel Tablet is no longer sold on Amazon. The Best Buy page also says the device is not available in new condition. The same applies to the tablet’s accessories. The Speck SandyShell Case and the Charging Speaker Dock cannot be purchased from the Google Store. The page now offers only an option to receive a notification if the products go back on sale. The Pixel Tablet launched in 2023 with prices starting at 399 dollars (approximately 680 manats). Although the device was not as popular as the iPad, it found an audience among people who use Google and Android products together. Reddit users say they are disappointed by the decision. At the same time, they also say they are not surprised because Google frequently discontinues devices.
Although information emerged about the Pixel Tablet 2 and even the Pixel Tablet 3, Google did not release either model. Reports later said that production of new tablets had been stopped entirely. This brought expectations for a next-generation model to an end. The Pixel Tablet remained the only model the company released in this product line. The move follows Google’s removal of its Nest Audio speakers from sale and their replacement with the updated Google Home Speaker. It remains unclear whether the company is developing a new plan for tablets or has withdrawn from the market entirely. Pixel Phone and Pixel Watch owners are concerned that the devices’ ability to work seamlessly together will be weakened.
