Mobile Pixels Unveils 40-Inch Prisma 5K Monitor With 120 Hz Refresh Rate

    Mobile Pixels has unveiled the 40-inch curved Prisma 5K monitor designed for the Mac mini. The display features an IPS Black panel manufactured by LG and a resolution of 5,120 × 2,160 pixels. The monitor also includes a docking station, a storage slot and a computer stand. It can also be connected to Windows laptops and desktop computers.    The Prisma display has a 120 Hz refresh rate, making motion appear smoother. Its approximately 10-bit color reproduction allows the display to show nearly 1.07 billion colors. Covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space, the monitor is suitable for photo editing, video editing and other creative work requiring color accuracy.    The docking station has USB-C, USB-A and USB-B ports. It also includes SD and microSD card readers. The built-in KVM switch allows 2 computers to be controlled using the same keyboard, mouse and other devices. The screen can also be split to display output from both computers at the same time. Additional SSD storage can be installed in the M.2 slot.    The monitor stand has a dedicated compartment for the Mac mini and Mac Studio. Its active fan operates according to the temperature, but its effectiveness has not been disclosed. Laptops can be charged via USB-C. The stand also has a 15 W wireless charging area for compatible smartphones. The retractable iPhone holder supports Continuity Camera, Center Stage and Desk View.    The Prisma is currently available for preorder on Kickstarter for $999 (approximately 1,700 manats) as part of a limited early-bird campaign. The monitor’s retail price will be $1,600 (approximately 2,720 manats). The early-bird price is 38% lower. Buyers save $601 (approximately 1,020 manats). Shipping may cost up to $80 (approximately 140 manats), depending on the region. Of the 260 discounted monitors, 255 have already been ordered. Only 5 remain.    The campaign has attracted 392 backers. So far, it has raised $434,707 (approximately 739,000 manats). It has therefore significantly exceeded its target of $15,000 (approximately 25,500 manats). There are 23 days left until the campaign ends. It is also possible to support the project by contributing $10 (approximately 17 manats) without purchasing the product. Deliveries are scheduled for January 2027. However, contributing to crowdfunding projects does not guarantee that the product will be delivered.
