Registration Opens for OnePlus 15 ColorOS 17 Open Beta Program

OnePlus has opened registration for the ColorOS 17 open beta program for the OnePlus 15. Applications will be accepted from October 9-12, and initially, only users in India will be able to join the program. Oppo will unveil the new operating system for the global market on October 13. This means registration for the test version will close 1 day before the official unveiling.

This software is not yet the final version, so various issues may arise after it is installed. Users are advised to back up the data on their phones before updating. OnePlus 15 owners who meet the requirements can join the open beta program to try out the new features sooner.

Users can revert from the test version to OxygenOS 16. To do so, they must use OnePlus's rollback package. However, this process will erase all data on the phone. Once the stable version of ColorOS 17 is released, OnePlus 15 users will permanently switch to that system. This will mark the end of the OxygenOS era for this model.

Oppo has not yet detailed the changes in ColorOS 17. The phrases “fluid motion” and “refined visuals” shared by the company suggest that the interface will be updated and animations will be smoother. The full list of new features and information about the stable version will be announced at the October 13 presentation.
