vivo May Unveil the S70 Smartphone Next Month

    Although “vivo” unveiled the “S60” series in China in May, it is already working on the “vivo S70.” According to new information, the smartphone may be unveiled soon. The model will work with a camera accessory called a teleconverter. This accessory is designed to capture larger images of distant subjects using optical zoom.    The “vivo S70” is expected to feature a 64 MP “Sony LYT610” periscope telephoto camera. The teleconverter will further improve long-distance photography with this camera. The periscope design makes it easier to fit a powerful optical zoom system into a slim smartphone body.    The current test model has a 6.59-inch AMOLED LTPS display with 1.5K image quality. This display is designed to provide large, clear images. The smartphone is being tested with a “Snapdragon 8s” series processor. It will most likely use the “Snapdragon 8s Gen 4” chip. However, these specifications may change in the model that goes on sale.    A rear display was also tested on one of the early test models. “vivo” later abandoned this idea, and the current prototype does not have a rear display. An engineering sample is a device prepared for testing before release. Therefore, the final model may include other changes as well. The “vivo S70” is expected to be unveiled next month, but an exact date has not yet been announced.
