Xiaomi to Unveil Redmi K100 Smartphone With 10,000 mAh Battery

    Xiaomi confirmed last week that the Redmi K100 smartphone was on the way. The company has now announced that the model will be unveiled in China on October 28 and has revealed its key features and design. The phone will join the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max models unveiled in August.    The Redmi K100 will be powered by the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. The phone will also feature a dedicated Xiaomi D2 display chip for image processing. The model will support a 165 Hz refresh rate in more than 40 games. This will make motion appear smoother in compatible games.    The smartphone will have a 10,000 mAh battery. The Redmi K100 will feature a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. This level of brightness makes the display easier to see in bright light. The phone will go on sale with the Xiaomi HyperOS 4 operating system.    Xiaomi has also revealed the phone’s green color option, called Firefly Green. The Redmi K100 is already available for preorder in China, but its price has not yet been announced. At its October 28 event, the company will also unveil the Clip Neo open-ear earbuds, which do not block the ear canal. It is not yet known whether the smartphone will be sold outside China.
