Baku Metro and ADY Seek Technology Solutions from Startups – Industry Challenge Open Call
The next stage of “Industry Challenge – Open Call” begins
The search for innovative technology solutions that meet real industry needs is beginning as part of the next stage of the “Industry Challenge” program.
Through the partnership with “Plug and Play,” as well as meetings and practical workshops with “Baku Metro” and “Azerbaijan Railways” (ADY), the organizations' real operational needs were identified. The next stage will focus on attracting innovative technology solutions that meet those needs. Applications are being accepted in two main areas under “Industry Challenge – Open Call”:
“Baku Metro” – analytics in infrastructure management
Technology solutions aimed at improving energy efficiency, modeling airflow in tunnels and detecting water leaks in tunnel walls are being sought in this area.
In this area, AI-based solutions are being considered for detecting and classifying hazards on railway tracks in real time under different weather conditions.
Startups and companies with innovative technology solutions in the relevant areas may have the opportunity to test their solutions in a real-world environment and proceed to the Proof of Concept (PoC) stage.

Local and foreign startups, technology companies and companies offering innovative technology solutions.
Key dates: Application period: September 28 – October 9, 2026, interview stage: starting the week of October 12
The solutions selected under the program are expected to be implemented in a real industrial environment and their practical results evaluated.
